Thomas Henderson, Justice of Peace in Henry County? Where is the proof?

Was Thomas Henderson the political guy a Justice of Peace for Henry County , Virginia?

I am looking for the proof. But here is something interesting:

Henry Co, Va formed from Pittsylvania Co.

1777 Henry Co, Va - List of Capt. Thomas Henderson of those
who took Oath of Allegiance (all born by 1756):

by 1787, my Thomas would have been in Tennessee. I do not see him listed there. But for 1777, he is there. So could there be some truth to him being a JP ?
