Thomas Henderson - Will 1772 Pittsylvania, VA - Does NOT Exist!

Major genealogy problem:

There was a Thomas Henderson who is the father of Col. Thomas Henderson of Hawkins / Grainger Counties in the 1700s.

What is the problem ? Well read the following paragraph below:

Thomas Henderson bought 391 acres in Beverly Manor, Augusta Co, VA on 9/21/1738.  This land he sold to a William Beverly on 3/31/1750.  It is also known that he lived in Albemarle and Orange Counties in Virginia and that he died in Pittsylvania Co, VA where his will was probated in 1772.  He was in that county by 1767

Here is the problem. I contacted the county clerk in Pittsylvania AND Virginia Library and guess what? There is no Thomas who died in Pittsylvania. In fact there is no information about him and yet people copy and paste the information over and over again on the internet / ancestry.com , etc..

and for saying "will probated in Pittsylvania"... well, the next question is, where the hell is the Will ?
Answer? He didn't die in Pittsylvania.

But he was there. There is evidence. This is my evidence:

My question is, did he perhaps die before 1772 or a few years after 1772? Because according to their index, there is no Will for him.

this is the information I have: http://books.google.com/books?id=57aFNInLFroC&pg=PA46&lpg=PA46&dq=pittsylvania,+va+early+settlers&source=bl&ots=9nE4BgrQL0&sig=IEwufOGNSDrOZkkm37ryg8h7UZA&hl=en&sa=X&ei=h1Z1UJTPDpGc8gSmxICQCg&ved=0CDAQ6AEwAg#v=onepage&q=Thomas%20Henderson&f=false

books.google.com :
List of Tithables Taken by Thomas Dillard, Jr. In June 1767:
I see "Thomas Henderson" on the list . So he was there.

Another source of information:

source: Court Records Book 1
Pittsylvania County 1767-1772
June Court 1767

Therefore it is considered by the Court that the P recover against D his damages in form aforesaid assessed by the Jurors together with his Costs.

HOWEVER, there IS a Will for a Thomas Henderson from (1715-1768) from Louisa County, VA.
read the full Will here.
Question is, is that the same Thomas? The only answer is to keep searching Pittsylvania.
